Taipei innovative textile show generates £50 million in sales

The 16th Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show, which closed its doors last week, generated more than £50 million in business and welcomed 300 exhibitors from around the world.

More than 27,000 from 40 countries attended the show at the Taipei World Trade Center, according to organisers.

This year’s themes were functional textiles for apparel, upholstery and industrial uses; recycled and sustainable textiles; and fashion textiles trend forecasting for autumn-winter 2013/14.

The three-day show was organised by the Taiwan Textile Federation and the Bureau of Foreign Trade. Brands invited included Under Armour, K-Swiss and O’Neill from the US, and Anta from China.
