Textile industry representatives have told the Pakistani government that energy cuts, raw materials quality issues and a poor perception of the local industry in the wider world are affecting performance.

The leaders of a number of industry organisations, including the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association and the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association, held a meeting with government representatives to ask for improvements in supply of energy and cotton seeds.
