Arc’teryx shares its Montreal store with Salomon
12/11/2012
Arc’teryx originally occupied the retail space in the Canadian city on its own. It loved the location, on Sainte-Catherine Street West, but found the space to be too big for its needs.
Director of consumer sales, Bob Matheson, explained recently that when Arc’teryx decided to reduce the amount of space it was occupying in Montreal, it quickly realised that sharing with sister brand Salomon would be the easiest and best way round the problem.
He explained that a dividing wall between the two spaces helps “respect brand integrity”. But back-room activities are shared, which reduces costs and makes it easier for Arc’teryx and Salomon to share best practice.
