China: Textile fair welcomes buyers from 97 countries

Figures released by the China Sourcing Fair show there were more than 9,500 buyers from 97 countries at the autumn edition that covered textiles, sportswear, underwear, swimwear and general apparel.

There were 1,240 booths from exhibitors from Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, the Philippines, Vietnam and Australia, with the number of textile companies up 9%.

Experts offered market intelligence to buyers and suppliers and advice on more effective sourcing in Asia. A colour trends area was hosted in cooperation with Pantone.

"Tens of thousands of buyers make the fairs a regular stop on their trade show schedule as they recognise the sourcing efficiency gained by meeting quality suppliers with quality products, many of whom do not exhibit at other shows in the region," said Tommy Wong, president of Global Sources Exhibitions.
