Initially used in luggage and military apparel, Cordura has expanded to include fabrics for footwear, outdoor and workwear. At the show, the company is launching a range of Naturalle fabrics for the workwear segment based on full dull nylon 6.6 yarn constructions that look and feel like natural fibre-based fabrics but incorporate abrasion, tensile and tear strength.
It will also show its NYCO fabric line from Malaysian textile company Penfabric which has been developed to provide durability and comfort. The range includes eight fabrics, a blend of 75% cotton and 25% high strength Invista T420 nylon 6.6.
Cindy McNaull, Cordura brand and marketing director, said: “We strive to continually advance fabric technologies to meet the evolving needs of our customers and we look forward to showcasing the durable possibilities with today’s workwear industry.”
Workwear brands Blåkläder, Cofra, Dassy, and F Engel have adopted the new fabrics in their latest lines, which will be revealed at Expoprotection in Paris.
