HanesBrands plans upgrade at Virginia plant

US-based apparel company HanesBrands has announced that it plans to invest $1.6 million in upgrades at its operations centre in Woolwine, Virginia. It plans to hire new 50 employees as part of the development programme.

The company will add new high-speed fabric manufacturing equipment at the plant. Vice-president for innerwear operations, Bruce Duncan, said the upgrade would enable the Woolwine plant to double current production.
