Textile training breakthrough in Catalonia

Working with the Polytechnic University of Barcelona, Texfor and the Catalan education authorities will set up training courses for new recruits to the textile industry as well as courses that will allow people already working in textiles to obtain formal qualifications.
The idea is that students will combine training at the university with work experience at a Texfor member company. Students began working on the academic side this autumn and, in March 2013, will spend time in textile manufacturing companies to put into practice what they have learned.
