Footwear laminates provider to add eVent technology

GE has announced a new collaboration with VEGAM, an Italian manufacturer of laminates and fabrics, to bring to the European market air-permeable and waterproof footwear fabrics. The fabrics will use GE’s eVent membrane technology.

VEGAM will make both three-layer and four-layer footwear laminates using eVent waterproof and protective membranes.

“We’ve been looking for a proven technology to pair with our fabrics, and eVent membranes are regarded as the best in the industry for their combination of air permeability and waterproofness,” said Nadir Santagiuliana, research and development manager for VEGAM.
