Three years before sports shoe brands in China will grow again

Industry analysts in China have reported that inventory levels are high in sports retail outlets across the country, leading to heavy discounting of athletic shoes and other products.

China’s six leading athletic shoe could take two or even three years to get back onto a growth path, reports have said, after they expanded too quickly following the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Increased focus on design and innovation will help them, analysts believe.
