Record revenues for Gildan Activewear

In the fourth quarter, it achieved net earnings of $89 million, compared to $48.5 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011.
Net sales for the full fiscal year for 2012 amounted to more than $1.9 billion, an increase of 12.9% compared to the previous year. Acquisitions and increased sales contributed to the increase.
Gildan specialises in making T-shirts, fleece tops, sport shirts, socks and underwear. It sells its clothes under a number of different brand names and also makes clothing under licence for two major sports brands, Under Armour and New Balance.
