A large number of textile and garment manufacturers from China travelled to Dubai at the start of December to take part in a dedicated exhibition aimed at attracting Middle Eastern interest, investment and customers for the Chinese industry.

Trade between the United Arab Emirates and China has increased by 395% in the last ten years and now stands at $15.6 billion a year.

The six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) constitute the world’s largest market for Chinese-made products, the organisers of the event said.
