Brazil: Football team sign $144 million Nike deal

Sao Paulo-based football team the Corinthians have signed a deal with Nike which local reports say is the largest sponsorship in the history of Brazilian football.

The deal, which was due to expire next year, has now been extended until 2022 and is thought to be worth $144 million.

Nike launched a new design of the Brazilian league winner's kit earlier this year. The fabric in the shorts is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96% recycled polyester. Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.
