Restructured JAL Group unveils products at Expoprotection

13/12/2012
Safety shoe manufacturer JAL Group launched new and updated products at the recent Expoprotection 2012 trade show in Paris, shortly after a management overhaul.

Its premium price brand Jallatte focuses technical innovation and performance, Lupos on quality and tradition, while Aimont specialises in design and comfort.

Aimont's new sneakers feature a cutting-edge footbed which has a dual benefit: breathability, thanks to the holes for foot ventilation, and a high cushioning effect due to the block support structure and the soft gel insert that absorbs micro-vibrations in the heel area. The TAR-tex lining is made of a breathable, absorbent and abrasion-resistant nylon weave.

Since summer, JAL has been led by new management, appointed by the shareholders and revealed at the Paris show, with a mandate to respond to the growing complexity of the market and strengthen the brands.

Chief executive Daniele Ondeggia, previously chief financial officer, has formed a team of managers who are working to implement the new plan. These include sales director Guy Schaller and operations director Lucio Nucci. Jean-François Bertin is general manager of the production and sales unit in France, while Karim Marzouk is director of the Tunisian arm, which encompasses major manufacturing facilities employing nearly 4,000 people.
