Three Kelheim Fibres products to go into Material ConneXion library

17/12/2012
German fibre manufacturer Kelheim Fibres has announced that three of its viscose speciality fibres have been accepted into Material ConneXion’s library of innovative materials.

Material ConneXion experts select materials for inclusion in the library, which has sites in New York, Beijing, Bangkok, Cologne, Daegu, Istanbul, Milan, Seoul, and Shanghai, and which is also available online to subscribers. The library lists more than 7,000 materials in total and has the aim of helping designers find “a competitive edge” through the materials they use.

The three Kelheim Fibres viscose fibres, Verdi, Danufil Deep-Dye and Microfine, will now be part of the library’s offering.

Microfine is Kelheim’s finest viscose fibre, offering, the manufacturer says, high levels of wearer comfort in high-quality textiles. Danufil Deep-Dye is a chemically modified viscose speciality with a dye absorption capacity up to 40 times higher than standard viscose, while Verdi has been ionically activated to deliver a higher level of intrinsic absorbency and of dispersability in water.
