UK: Stores forecast sportswear’s biggest sales day

Retailers expected to see a quadrupling of sales as consumers hit the high street in search of new gym wear, hoping to find that extra boost of inspiration to stick to their healthy January regimes.
Sales of Pineapple sports leggings were up 300% in the first week of January against the beginning of December, sweatshirts up 275%, workout tops up 260% and Elle “fat reducing” pants up 1,000%.
