Marco Bramani steps down as Vibram chief executive

Marco Bramani has resigned as Vibram’s chief executive. The grandson of the founder of the specialist soling manufacturer, Mr Bramani has managed the company for the last 25 years.

He developed a new technology centre for Vibram in China and also founded a US subsidiary, as well as launching distinctive products such as the company’s Fivefingers line of minimalist footwear.

Antonio Dus has been appointed as the new chief executive. Marco Bramani will continue to be president and chairman of the board of the Lombardy-based company and will focus on the creative development of the brand.

Vibram said the decision had been taken to accelerate the development of the brand, especially with regard to innovation and high-performance products. Marco Bramani stated: “We are confident that Antonio will bring a new enthusiasm to this position, especially in the North American market where he has solid experience and expertise.”
