Skora appoints global sales director

Skora, a manufacturer of running shoes, has hired a new sales director with responsibility for global sales strategy, brand positioning, marketing and creating sales tools for reps and retailers.
 
Chris Elkins joins the US-based company – which bills its shoes as encouraging “encourage biomechanically correct running performance with minimal interference”
from Columbia Sportswear and previously worked at outdoor brands Sorel and Mountain Hardwear.

"Chris' sales leadership and organisational experience with fast-growth outdoor brands is superbly suited to us," said David Sypniewski, CEO of Skora. “We hope to leverage his experience, connections and partnerships.”

Mr Elkins added: “I think consumers globally demand passion and legitimacy in the product, and this isn't just a money-making entity. It's a vision and a lifestyle.”
