Schoeller Textil appoints head of new knits business unit

Fabric developer Schoeller Textil has appointed Stefano Tonizzo as the new head of its knits business unit.

The knits business unit, only recently set up, encompasses all areas relating to knits for the sports sector and, Schoeller Textil has said, will help the company make knitwear products more prominent in its portfolio.

Stefano Tonizzo possesses a comprehensive knowledge of knit textiles thanks to many years working at Greuter Jersey AG. Since September 2010, he has been working in sales at Schoeller Textil.

In June 2012, Schoeller Textil acquired the sports and technical textiles business of Swiss manufacturer Eschler. This includes technical knitwear products for cycling, winter sports and other sectors, used by many elite athletes, including a number of World Cup winter sports teams.
