Colour-changing tape from South Korea’s HiMEL

08/02/2013
South Korea-based tape manufacturer HiMEL has produced a line of taping for apparel that changes colour with temperature.

The Chameleon tape uses a chemical reaction to change the colour when the temperature goes above or below 20 degrees celsius, which can “add decorative value” to outdoor garments, sportswear and bags.

It is currently offered in five colours – although the company is working on more – and can also be supplied in a film type that can be used for logos or other patches.
