Thermore unveils water-repellent, recycled insulation
08/02/2013
“It is the next step in the evolution of recycled performance,” said the company. “The water repellency and warmth are at the same level of virgin polyester products.”
The padding is designed specifically for technical outdoor customers, for whom water repellency is a key requirement, and it is the softest product in the Thermore range. It is made with up to 50% recycled fibre and absorbs 250% of its own weight. It also has a high thermal efficiency and a uniform structure.
Thermore insulation was chosen outdoor brand Isbjorn, winner of an award at the ISPO tradeshow, held in Munich this week. The Swedish company was successful in the Action category for its ‘Back Flip’ children’s ski jacket, which uses Thermore Classic insulation.
Thermore products are Global Recycle Standard certified and PFOA and PFOS-free (non organic chemical substances).
Brands that have chosen Thermore for their products recently include EA7 Emporio Armani, Colmar and Bognor Fire + Ice.
