Peak Performance owner joins Sustainable Apparel Coalition

The Danish owner of skiwear company Peak Performance has become the latest to sign up to the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), an initiative established by a group of apparel and footwear companies working to reduce the environmental and social impacts of its products.

IC Companys had been invited to join due to its corporate responsibility efforts, which build on the same values and principles as those of the SAC.

Niels Mikkelsen, CEO of IC Companys, said: “We see a membership as an opportunity to take our work one step further and be a part of defining the rules of the game. We believe that cooperating to find common solutions is the way forward instead of all of us developing our own initiatives, which frustrates suppliers and creates confusion with consumers.”

SAC members include Nike, Nordstrom, Patagonia, Timberland, Marks & Spencer, PPR, H&M and Inditex.
