Ecco wins award for Biom hiking boot

Launching as part of its autumn winter 2013 collection, Biom Terrain combines Ecco natural motion technology with an athletic, lightweight construction and multi-terrain outsole. This creates a versatile, agile boot for day hiking.
“This lightweight hiking boot not only delivers exceptional comfort thanks to the application of the latest biomechanical knowledge, but also guarantees a very smooth step,” said Frank Wacker, head of the judging panel. “In addition, it offers an outsole with excellent grip, the upper is made from soft yak leather, and it has a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex lining. The jury is also excited about the young, fresh design that will appeal to a wider audience than the classical hiking boot look.”
