PolyOne appoints former Dow veteran as vice-president

PolyOne Corporation, a provider of specialised polymer materials, has appointed Julie McAlindon to the dual position of senior vice-president and president of designed structures and solutions, a new business segment under the company’s specialty platform.

Ms McAlindon previously served as vice-president of marketing, where she collaborated with commercial and technology teams on initiatives that have driven growth. She joined PolyOne after a 20-year career with the Dow Chemical Company, where she held commercial assignments focused on marketing and business leadership.

Robert Patterson, PolyOne’s chief operating officer, said: “Julie understands our customers, our key markets and how to deliver value that distinguishes us in the marketplace.”

US-based PolyOne Corporation recorded revenues of $3 billion last year.
