Piave Maitex develops high-opacity fabric for sportswear

Italian fabric producer Piave Maitex has launched a polyester fabric for sportswear which it says offers a solution to fabrics which have poor opacity, particularly when white.

It says PM Eclisse can be combined with its latest technologies, resulting in a “step forward” in terms of activewear fabric development.

Its products include special polymer-based coatings; strong, compact fabrics made on high-gauge knitting machines; fabrics with reduced thickness for enhanced breathability, and fabrics with resistance to pilling and with UV protection.
