Reflective Night Eye technology in new jacket

After three years developing a prototype, Dutch sports clothing brand Macna has launched a motorcycle jacket, the GEO, with reflective technology that it calls Night Eye, built into it. This jacket has two variants: the Night Eye Classic and the more recent Night Eye Dark.

 Integrated into the outer shell of retroreflective polyester, which has a high resistance to abrasion, are tiny glass beads. These serve as mirrors to reflect the beams from distant cars' headlights at night. The Night Eye Classic provides extra visibility during the daytime, with luminous panels on the arms and chest, whereas the advantage of the Dark jacket is that it is grey in colour, so more discreet, whilst still incorporating the same reflective technology for wearing at night.
