Organisers of the Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics are expecting more than 25,000 visitors to the latest edition, which will be held in the Chinese capital next week.

More than 1,300 exhibitors from 16 countries are confirmed and the show will be held in the 50,000 square-metre China International Exhibition Centre.

The Korea pavilion will house 52 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of man-made and functional fabrics.

The Japan zone features 16 exhibitors with a particular focus on high-quality cotton, man-made and knitted fabrics. “As Chinese demand for high-quality fabrics increases, we try to develop more fabrics based on Japanese quality at reasonable prices,” says Mr Itsuko Kimura, head of Japan-based Sojitz Fashion.

The Taiwan pavilion – with 31 exhibitors – will showcase “the best of Taiwan”, including polyester, spandex, wool-blended and woven.

There will also be a presence from Europe, including Portuguese and Italian pavilions, and exhibitors from France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.

Visitors to the fair, which takes place between March 27 and 29, can take advantage of two concurrent events: Yarn Expo Spring and China International Clothing and Accessories Fair. A free shuttle bus will ferry visitors between events.
