Ortovox, a German outdoor clothing company, has announced that it will be collaborating with the Woolmark Company, who are a company owned by a not-for-profit organisation of Australian wool growers, that works with designers, manaufacturers and retailers to ensure the quality of wool products. This will enable them to become more closely involved with the sourcing of merino wool from Australian farms, used in many of their garments.

Ortovox is now a licensee of the Woolmark Company. The licence gives Ortovox permission to use the Woolmark logo on its garments as a means of endorsement. Ortovox will also receive development, production and marketing support from the Woolmark Company.

Head of product at the brand, Christoph Kirsch explained that his company has been using merino for 17 years' and that the partnership will give the company the ability to share the story of the wool and the animal behind the fibre with consumers.
