Rieter Group appoints new CEO
Textile machinery group Rieter has appointed Norbert Klapper as chief executive, taking over from Erwin Stoller by January 1, 2014.
Mr Klapper was formerly a managing partner at business consultants Arthur D Little, and since 2011 has been executive vice-president of drive components company Voith Turbo, in charge of its railway division.
Mr Stoller has held a dual role for four years but will concentrate on
his position as chairman after overseeing the group’s division.
The Swiss company manufactures machinery and technology components used to convert natural and man-made fibres into yarns, and employs 4,700 in 10 countries.
