Italian activewear fabric manufacturer Pontetorto was among the companies to take part in a new project at the Milano Unica exhibition earlier this year.

The project, called Sustainable Fabrics and Accessories, involved exhibitors who wanted to place special emphasis during Milano Unica on the sustainable qualities of their products.

For its part, Pontetorto highlighted its work to include sustainable materials, including recycled wool and polyester, as well as mulesing-free wool, in the composition of its fabrics. It also described its Superwash plasma treatment of fabric (which makes wool clothing easier to care for) as a sustainable finishing process.
