TenCate more optimistic after Q1 results

29/04/2013
After disappointing results in 2012, specialist protective textiles manufacturer TenCate has reported some improvement in its business in the first quarter of 2013, even though its sales were down compared to the relatively strong first quarter of last year.

On announcing its results, the Dutch company said revenue from its TenCate Defender M product in the US was above expectations for the quarter, but lower than in the first quarter of 2012. Revenue in the defence and industrial markets outside the US continued to rise.

Its net revenue was down 6% compared the first quarter of 2012 at EUR 241.8 million.
