Alexium hires textile chemist to boost FR lines

It recently secured a contract from the US military to develop its nylon/cotton fabrics, industrial work wear and protective clothing and aims to move further into this field.
Dr Van Hyning joins from US-based speciality fabrics company Milliken & Company and has 13 years’ experience in developing of new products, primarily in the military uniform fabric markets.
“Dr Van Hyning will be a strong addition to our technical team and have an immediate impact on our key product development targets and time frames including our work under contract with the US Army, US Air Force and US Marines,” said Stefan Susta, Alexium’s chief operating officer.
