New Advansa fabric scoops Performance Days award
A new fabric from fibre manufacturer Advansa has been named the most innovative in the Active & Workwear section by judges at upcoming trade show Performance Days.
The prize winning "Ferntree" fabric combines ThermoCool for thermoregulation and evaporative cooling with the comfort and natural feel of merino wool. It is suited to activewear as it does not absorb as much moisture as pure merino wool and benefits from natural odour control.
The Dutch company is debuting the fabric for the summer 2015 season and partnered with German company Südwolle for the yarn. The fibres are suitable for circular knits, flat knits, seamless garments and woven fabrics.
Ferntree will be showcased at the Performance Forum at Performance Days in Munich, May 15 and 16.
