Pontetorto celebrates solar-powered factory

Pontetorto has built up a network of 7,000 solar cells covering an area of 10,000 square-metres on the roof of its Prato plant. This now has the capacity to provide enough energy for all areas of the factory, including production and administration, the company has claimed.
“The entire factory operates independently of the public electricity network,” Pontetorto said in a recent statement.
