Woolmark Company to launch new global buying guide for wool

10/05/2013
Companies involved in wool production, at all stages in the value chain, are being invited to promote their products in a new, free-of-charge initiative created by The Woolmark Company.

The Looking For Wool sourcing guide is an online directory that will enable businesses to source wool and wool-rich products for both the apparel and interiors sector. The Woolmark Company plans to launch the Looking For Wool sourcing guide in September.

General manager for product development and commercialisation at The Woolmark Company, Jimmy Jackson, said on announcing the initiative: “The guide will provide one central location for buyers to source all types of wool-related products, including raw wool, tops, yarns and fabrics.”

Registration is open to any company producing a product containing more than 50% wool content. More information is available at this link: Looking For Wool.

The Woolmark brand is owned by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), a non-for-profit company owned by over 27,000 woolgrowers.
