20/05/2013
Larry Martin, former president of American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) and the American Apparel Manufacturers Association (AAMA), has died.

He led the association from 1994 to 2000.

Kevin Burke, president of the AAFA, said: “We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Larry Martin. Larry’s tenure at the helm of the association, following several years as AAMA’s director of government relations, was marked with profound organisational and industry changes. Through his advocacy and leadership, Larry made many lasting contributions to the industry in the areas of trade policy and corporate social responsibility. Our prayers and thoughts go to Larry’s family, in particular his wife Betty.”
