All-German affair, on and off the field

The match at Wembley Stadium will be between Borussia Dortmund, wearing Puma shirts, and Bayern Munich, wearing adidas. There have been all-Spanish, all-Italian and all-English finals in the history of the competition, but this will be the first all-German affair.
In comments to Bloomberg, Sebastian Frericks, an analyst at Bankhaus Metzler in Frankfurt, suggested that a win for Dortmund would matter more to Puma than a victory for Munich would for adidas. “Puma is not able to invest the same amount of money into sponsorship as Adidas and Nike, so they have to pick their teams very carefully,” he said.
No matter what happens in London, another analyst, Andreas Riemann, from Commerzbank, said he thought it would be very hard for Puma to make up too much ground on its rivals. “Puma is still struggling,” he said. “In soccer, they probably won’t catch up with adidas.”
