Red Cross shirt features fresh Tencel blend

The Austrian Red Cross is being supplied with a new collection of Löffler tops that were a year in development and feature a new type of Tencel blend.

Andreas Gürtler, Tencel project manager for active sportswear, said: “Löffler is a longstanding product development partner of Tencel manufacturer Lenzing for highly functional and exclusive sportswear. New applications for Tencel are discussed at regularly held meetings and integrated in the new collections. For example, the material of the Red Cross polo shirt is used in the trekking collection. This development was preceded by extended textile and material-related tests carried out in our research department in order to find out the best possible blending ratio with Tencel to ensure the optimal functionality of the polo shirt material.“

Tencel is a brand name for lyocell made from cellulose derived from wood.
