Peruvian firm to make and sell A&E products under licence

Sewing thread and technical textile manufacturer American & Efird (A&E) has signed a licensing agreement with Peruvian company Textil El Amazonas to manufacture and supply A&E products into the Peruvian market. Founded in 1943, Textil El Amazonas is the leading manufacturer of industrial sewing threads in Peru.

Larry McGee, A&E vice-president for sales in the Americas said on announcing the development: “A&E is very excited about this new arrangement. Peru continues to grow as an international apparel exporter and fashion centre, and having the opportunity to serve our customers locally through Textil El Amazonas is significant.”

Textil El Amazonas president, Flavio Gerbolini, said: “Our years of experience combined with the valuable resources of A&E, will allow us to offer our clients, whether brands or manufacturers, the very best in products and service.”
