Live web streaming for Biella wool discussion

A forum on the wool supply chain and the consumer, taking place on June 14 as part of the 2013 International Congress of the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) at Biella in Italy, will be streamed live over the internet.

Congress organisers announced the development in the build-up to the forum, saying they wanted the discussion to be available to people unable to attend in person.

Under the title ‘Farm to Fashion’, the forum will start at 10 am, Italian time. It will focus on the future of wool and its supply chain, from sheep to distribution, and give speakers, including Stuart McCullough, chief executive of The Woolmark Company, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, president of the Loro Piana textiles group and Paolo Zegna, president of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, the opportunity to share their views on the wool industry’s prospects for growth.

Analysis of fibre marketing and ingredient branding initiatives will also be part of the discussion.
