European players measure up for Solheim Cup outfits

Abacus Sportswear, the offficial clothing supplier to the 2013 European Solheim Cup Team, has begun final preparations for the biennial golf match, which this year takes place at the Colorado Golf Club in the US from August 13-18, by measuring up prospective players.

During a special fitting session at the women’s German Open at Golfpark Gut Häusern in Munich, the leading European players were sized up by the head seamstress of the Swedish sports apparel brand, Martell Nielsen.

The players were brought in one-by-one to be personally fitted for practice and match-day outfits, including Captain Liselotte Neumann.

Abacus said many of the golfers commented on the lightweight, stretchability and breathability characteristics of the garments.

The full line-up of the European team will be announced at the start of August.
