Cushe collaborates with Hoffman for new shoe collection

Cushe Footwear, a division of Wolverine World Wide, has announced a new agreement with Hoffman California Fabrics to create an exclusive collection of surf-style footwear for spring-summer 2014.

Hoffman has been involved in creating fabric for beach and surfwear since 1924. On making the announcement, Cushe said its new partner had “helped define beach culture”.

Cushe has hand-selected patterns from the Hoffman California Fabrics library “to pay homage to the SoCal scene”. The footwear brand described this as “a fun but difficult task since the designers at Hoffman create nearly 800 beautifully unique patterns a year”.

Sophie Hellyer, a prominent surfer who is already part of a team sponsored by Cushe, said the new collection was colourful, vibrant and youthful, blended with retro and traditional prints.

“Cushe has always been about the coastal way of life; our style and functionality were born on the beach,” said Ken Taylor, global marketing manager for Cushe, at the time of the announcement. “This makes us so stoked to be working with the innovative legends at Hoffman.”
