Government in Sudan wants improved cotton industry

Sudan’s minister of agriculture and irrigation, Dr Abdul Halim Al-Mutaafi, has said in comments to local media that the government there is working hard to help cotton farmers to increase their productivity.

As well as making seed available to cultivate 500,000 acres of cotton fields, the government is also making fertilizer and irrigation schemes available to farmers.
