OutDoor organisers pick up on sustainable jackets

10/07/2013
The organisers of the OutDoor exhibition have highlighted a number of ideas that will go on show at the 2013 event (Friedrichshafen, July 11-14) for their ecological friendliness.

Among the products the organisers picked out is a jacket from German brand Yeti. The new North jacket from the Görlitz-based brand is its first made from castor oil-based fabric.

Adidas features too for its TX Zuaplite jacket, a product made from naturally-coloured material to save on water, energy and chemicals. In the absence of dyes, the colour of the jacket is milky and translucent.

Swedish brand Klättermusen is another the organisers picked out in the build-up to the show. Its Myser jacket uses recycled polypropylene and after the end of each jacket’s useful life, Klättermusen wants to recycle it to create new polypropylene.
