Chinese garment manufacturer signs up to use eVent

Dishang Group, China’s largest garment manufacturer and exporter of apparel and textiles, has reached an agreement with industrial group GE to use its eVent air permeable and waterproof membrane technology. Dishang Group will now be able to offer eVent-enhanced garments to its apparel brand clients.

Concept jackets from Dishang Group showcasing its use of eVent will be on show at industry exhibitions in July and August.

The Dishang Group will establish a production unit dedicated to the manufacturing of apparel using eVent fabrics, bringing it online by the end of 2013. It has 49 wholly owned factories and produces 50 million garments a year.
