Bluesign conference takes place in St Gallen

Textile certification body bluesign technologies held its 2013 conference for “system partners” (companies that use bluesign tools to help them eliminate hazardous substances from their supply chains) in St Gallen, Switzerland, on July 9 and 10.

Professor Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, author of Factor 4 (1997) and Factor 5 (2009), books that present resource management and sustainable development as ways of increasing productivity and wealth, was the keynote speaker.

Other presentations at the conference came from Nike, adidas, Rudolf, BASF, EMPA, Saitex, G-Star Raw, Clariant, Teijin and WL Gore.

System partners also took part in working groups and roundtables to learn about new developments at bluesign technologies.
