The US government has raised its forecasts for domestic cotton inventories. A report from the Department of Agriculture on July 15 said exports of US cotton in the crop year ending July 31 were likely to be lower than previously predicted.
It added its voice to those predicting a record global crop, which, with falling demand globally, will mean high inventories.
