Eschler unveils new knitted fabrics for sports and outdoor

Swiss woven and knitted fabrics producer Eschler has developed a new collection.

Eschler, now part of the Schoeller Group, has described its new products as having “innovative textures and structures [that] lend the knitted fabrics a special performance through different constructions”.

The collection includes e1 polyester-lycra, with warp-knitted qualities that are ready for transfer print and are suitable, the company has said, for biking, triathlon and running. Carbon enhances the different e1 knit fabrics with an antistatic and antibacterial effect and there are elastic warp-knitted fabrics for pants with what Eschler has called a “reptile texture”.

Another component is a series of sporty knit fabrics called e1-Flash, which have the reverse in polyester and a polyamide outer side. Possible applications include compression pants and they can be enhanced with Schoeller’s coldblack heat and UV protection technology.

Also in the collection is the e3+ product line, offering lightweight but highly weather-proof and breathable fabrics for three-layer or two-and-a-half-layer laminate outdoor clothing.
