25/07/2013
Dutch materials and textile technology provider TenCate has announced revenues for the first half of 2013 of EUR 514 million. This figure represents a decline of 5% compared to the same period in 2012. Its earnings were 8% lower at EUR 29 million.

On announcing the results, TenCate highlighted that its revenues from defence-related projects in the US had fallen by $17 million compared to the first half of last year.

Chief executive, Loek de Vries, said on making the announcement: “Despite the continuing unfavourable market conditions, the decline in revenues remained relatively limited in the first half of 2013. Revenues in the US from industrial protective fabrics have projected a positive profile.”
