New partner for India for Kelme

Spanish sportswear brand Kelme is preparing for a new push into south-east Asia.

At the start of 2012, Kelme announced a partnership in India with local distribution partner Global Overseas, through which it said it would launch own-brand stores there. Now it has named a new partner, Shivas, which it says will now have exclusive rights to distribute Kelme sports shoes and clothing in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Singapore.

Shivas will start by establishing two Kelme retail outlets in India before the end of this year, the new announcement said, adding that this would expand by 2015 to around 50 own-brand stores there and a presence in 200 multibrand retail outlets.
