Spanish fibre manufacturer goes into administration

One of Spain’s few remaining fibre manufacturers, Italian-owned Montefibre Hispania, has gone into administration. The company has its headquarters in Barcelona and a production site in Miranda de Ebro in the north-west of the country. Three hundred of its 357 employees work at the production site.
Business media in Spain put the company’s debts at around EUR 30 million, 50% of which is owed to financial institutions and 50% to suppliers.
